The Rules
These rules below are the rules of this forum. They MUST be followed, or you might find yourself out on your rear end!
1 . Firstly and most importantly there shall be no rude or insulting behaviour on this forum! Got it! Trust me if you are nice, and yourself when out of character, people will like you, and you shall have a fabulous time on this forum. But if you are not, well people shall naturally hate you, and form vendettas against you. Then that shall lead to being banned and I hate being mean really! So don’t be mean! Got it? Wonderful!
2 . Activity! To me this is the most important thing about a role player, if you are not brilliant; but are active, to me that is fabulous. So here is the deal with activity. I expect my people to come on at least once every three days and POST! Come on that is not hard, and well if it is you should not be role playing. If I find you have been inactive for a week, you shall find an e-mail giving you a 4 day warning. If your inactivity continues then you shall find you shall lose your character without warning!
3 . God-moding shall not be tolerated here. This means that you cannot take control of another person's character. Whether it is a look on their face, a moment they might make, nothing, nada, kaput! Also there is the obvious one that you cannot make a spell that you fired hit the other person! Like I said that is an obvious one, and nobody would ever think of doing it, right?
4 . Right signatures. First; please no half naked pictures of your celeb. Some people do not want to have to be reading your role-plays, while at the same time having to look at your signature claim half naked. So please, God, please keep your purvey tendencies to yourself! Second; make sure your signature does not widen the forum, or push the sidebar smaller. If they do they shall be removed without warning! Thirdly; please make them no higher than 400px, people do not want to scroll down forever just to read the next post. If it is taller, then post a link to the image, and put some pretty icons in its place [ICONS]
5 . Please use proper grammar in all of the posts you make. I know it is not an easy thing, god I should know, but all I ask is that you try. Plus there is benefits in it for yourselves, as you shall blossom and grow as writers, aww sweet!
6 . Do not, I repeat, do not disrespect your admins. They are the bosses here, so that means that their word is final. Learn that and you shall have a fabulous time. [We are not dictators really, us admin are a wonderful breed of man-kind. When we ask you on the application; whether there is anything else you would like to tell us, tell me that tk-max costs less ^.^]
7 . Please avoid one liners as much as possible. For one they drive me and most people up the wall, and also they tend to slow a role-play down quite a bit. I can recognize that some people have writers block, it happens to all of us. But even then people should still not have to resort to one liners. Talk about your character's history, thoughts, motives, actions, words, surroundings, blah, blah, BLAH. For example;
Bad post!
Bellatrix was outside, annoyed that somebody had follwed her.
Good post!
The school was dark, and quiet, apart from the faint footsteps of the oldest Black sister; Bellatrix, walking down the many steps to the entrance hall. There was no motive in her actions, she was just restless, and needed to stretch her legs. So she had left her dormitory, wearing nothing but a nightdress (which was more like a big t-shirt), a hoodie, and a random pair of trousers.
Reaching the bottom of the stairs, she took a quick glance around the entrance hall for any sign of a teacher. For she knew that after hours, they did tend to roam the corridors in search of students doing what she was doing, and if she got caught. Well that would spell disaster to her, because it would taint her immaculate record, and if that happened then she would lose the teacher's respect, and she could not be having that.
So with one final look, she stepped out into the semi-lit entrance hall. The hall seemed unusually large, but then again when Bellatrix crossed during the day, on her way to the Great Hall or classes, it tended to be completely full of people, and without these people, it felt bigger and soul-less. So much so then in made her feel slight scared, so with a quick toss of her hair, she crossed the entrance hall to the big oak doors.
Upon reaching the doors she was relieved to find that they where unlocked. So being as quiet as you possibley can be when pulling open big oak doors, and slipped out into the cold night. Entering the night, she realized that she was not really dressed for the occasion, and seeing that there was not really much she could do without having to go back into the castle. She pulled her zip all the way up, and slid her hood on top of her head, and slumped down on the top stone steps. In the little hope that maybe the heat from the castle may waft through the door towards her.
Unfortunately little heat drifted through, and Bellatrix’s already pale skin turned a shade whiter, as goosebumps pricked up all over her body. So with a little shiver, she pulled up her hood, and brought her arms further inside her hoodie. The night was clear, and the stars and moon were beautiful, it was a shame she could not have enjoyed it all by herself. She had known as soon as she had left the common room that she was being tagged. She did not really care who it was, probably some pathetic prat who had nothing better to do then stalk her. "Sad really, that you have nothing better to do that follow me. I mean my life is not exactly interesting."

8 . NO MARY-SUE’S, -coughs-. Right we shall have none of this Mary-Sue palaver here. For God sake nobody is bloody perfect! So as we are trying to keep this role-play as near to canon as it can possible be, we shall have no horribly perfect people here! If you are behind the times and have no idea what the heck I am on about. HERE is an example of a Mary-sue! [Even if you do know what it is; it is worth a look just for a little laugh.]
9 . Can we please, please, please, refrain from any raunchy threads, as some people do not like to read these posts. But if you feel it is necessary to the character's development, then please put a warning in the topic title. So as to warn others of what is going on. So if they do not want to read your filthy goings on, they can turn a blind eye. However like I said please avoid it!
10 . Ok my pet hate is now an officially rule. I do not want anybody, that is anybody, walking about the place all sad, mopey, playing their guitars, and singing songs, basically being a bit of an emo. We already have a king emo of this time -coughsBlaisecoughs-, so basically we do not need another. But if you must put a song in your post. Then please link us to the words, and not just stick them all down. For personally I do not want to have to scroll down to get to the next post.
11 . All the role-pay posts are made in third person, not first, not second, THIRD! Got it! Fabulous darling! Another note on role play posts can we please keep them to a decent length, let's say no shorter than a nicely-sized paragraph. Thanks, and tar.
12 . I shall never in a blue moon accept a relative of a canon. For this is not yours or my world to decide who had a relative or not. It is J.K.’s and I would like to keep it as close to that as possible to her idea. As I am a canon freak, as many shall know. Also while we are on the topic of canons, I shall only be allowing five characters, per year, per house. But if numbers increase…Well…
13 . Please, please, please, refain from using Unforgivable curses. But if you feel there is a need for the usage of them, contact an admin and they shall decide.
14 . NO, I repeat, NO use of text language in your posts, proper english always. This of course does not mean that you cannot use them when out of charecter. There you can use them till the cows come home.
15 . Finally -cheers- your characters are basic humans, with one gift, that you are witches and wizards. So because of this there shall be NO vampires, veelas, werewolves, Seers, Telepaths, Metamorphous, Parselmouths, Animagi -breaths-. Well not unless it is cannon, or it is in your cannon ancestry. If you are not sure about whether you possess an ability, pm and I shall be happy to help!
